He stayed in the “dairy state” to attend dental school and completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Marquette University (Milwaukee, WI) in May of 2022.ĭr. Menard attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!) and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended Colony High School and was an active member of many academic and athletic activities including student government, National Honor Society, and the varsity basketball and soccer programs.ĭr. Menard grew up right here in Alaska! He was born in Anchorage and raised in the Matanuska Valley. Her goal is to continually strive to make a positive difference in the community by using her skills as a dentist to continue to serve her country and better the lives of Alaskans.ĭr. She is passionate about dentistry and loves helping others with their amazing smiles. She enjoys volunteering with Special Olympics Alaska, Eagle River Junior Nordic, and coaching youth volleyball. In her free time she likes to stay busy and involved with her three amazing kids. Schwartz loves Alaska because of the amazing people and the endless adventure and beauty that Alaska offers. Schwartz continues to serve her country as a dentist in the Alaska Air National Guard.ĭr. Schwartz was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Air Force and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV.ĭuring her final active duty assignment at JBER she and her family fell in love with Alaska and chose to make Alaska their home. In 2008 she was able to follow her dreams of becoming a dentist and attended the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of University of Southern California where she graduated in 2012 with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). For 4 years she taught high school biology while raising her family and supporting her husband and his career in the US Air Force. Schwartz grew up in Colorado, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from University of Colorado-Boulder in 2004. Most of his free time revolves around his active and growing family. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves on JBER and overseas the Dental Program at the 477th Fighter Group. He volunteers with Big Brothers and Big Sisters Alaska and donates dental services to the UAA Free Dental Day. He is an avid skier and is a member of the Anchorage Ski Club. Allen loves Alaska because of the wonderful people and the many outdoor activities available here. He offers a wide range of dental services including fillings, crowns and bridges, implant crowns, Invisalign clear braces, sedation and dental surgery, including wisdom teeth extractions.ĭr.
